Sports Physiotherapist

Ed Whiting

Ed Whiting holds an MSc in Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration) with Merit from St George’s University, building on a First Class BSc (Hons) in Sport Rehabilitation from St Mary’s University. He is fully registered with both the HCPC and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

With several years of experience at Physio & Therapy London, Edward has worked with a wide range of athletes — including Olympic-level competitors — providing assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries. He is skilled in a variety of treatment modalities including manual therapy, shockwave therapy, and Kinesiology taping.

Alongside his clinic work, Edward serves as Lead Physiotherapist at Esher RFC, where he oversees the medical department, manages player screening and testing, and guides athletes through every stage of their rehabilitation journey — from initial injury through to return to play.

Edward’s clinical experience extends well beyond sport, having completed placements across geriatric inpatient care, elective orthopaedics, amputee rehabilitation, community neurology, and musculoskeletal outpatients — giving him a broad and well-rounded skillset.

Whether you’re a competitive athlete or simply looking to get back to doing what you love, Edward’s enthusiasm, expertise, and athlete-first approach make him an excellent choice for your rehabilitation and physiotherapy needs.
